Admiralty International and it’s principals have completed the following assignments in Western Europe

Austria: Investment in Contact Lens Manufacturer

Admiralty was engaged by a start up Austrian company holding revolutionary patents for bi-focal contact lenses. Developed business plan, organized international road show, raised capital, instituted discussions with strategic investors, and began process of commercializing products.

France: Investment in Contact Lens Manufacturer

Negotiated and structured an investment by leading French family in Austrian contact lens manufacturer, including pricing, terms and conditions of deal.

Germany: Admirality Investment AG

Admiralty established a German Aktiengesellschaft with the intention to raise capital to invest in Central European banks. Documentation was completed and prospectus printed when the project was cancelled by our German sales company partner due to their own internal problems. An Admiralty International project.

Germany: Liquidation of Liner Company

Loan recovery as DDG Hansa, a 99 year old liner company, went into liquidation. We were responsible for direct negotiations with other lenders, Hansa’s provisional board of directors and competing shipping companies. Bank of America was the second largest lender, but came out of the collapse of Hansa without a loss. By contrast, the German banking community is estimated to have lost over DM500 million.

Germany: Liquidation of Sugar Trader

Loan recovery as August Toepfer, a well established sugar merchant went into liquidation.

Germany: Restructuring of Meat Trader

Loan recovery as Plambek, a long established meat trader went into liquidation. We were responsible for direct negotiations with other lenders and direct action to recover security in South America.

Germany: Upgraded Information System for Dealing Room

The information technology systems in the Frankfurt dealing room of Salomon Brothers AG were unable to provide dealers with correct information within the required time frames. Admiralty International provided expertise in areas of design, development and implementation using the latest client-server technologies and rapid prototyping. The systems provided by Admiralty were eventually adopted by Salomon for its entire European operation.

Germany: Venture Capital

Admiralty acts as Investment Manager to First Global Venture Capital AG, the parent company for six German limited partnerships involved in venture capital investments.

Greece: Financing of a fleet of Six Panamax Bulk Carriers

Supervised construction lending for financing of six bulk carriers being built in Japan for Greek shipowner.

Italy: Established Agency Network for Worldwide School of English

Collaborated with Worldwide School of English (New Zealand) and the New Zealand Trade Development Board (Milan, Italy) to establish a network of agents for the English language students wishing to study English in New Zealand.

Italy: Liaison with Food and Agriculture Agency

Represented the US Farm Credit Agency in the sale of a fleet of fishing boats to third world countries. In the course of this assignment, worked with the United Nations� Food and Agriculture Agency to identify possible purchasers of fishing boats. Negotiated terms and conditions of sale and financing thereof.

Switzerland: Ship Financing.

Financed construction of several Brazilian built ships for Swiss shipowner, including negotiation of terms and conditions, establishing foreign exchange rates, funding and closing transaction.

Switzerland: Established Agency Network for Worldwide School of English

Collaborated with Worldwide School of English (New Zealand) to establish a network of agents for the English language students wishing to study English in New Zealand.

United Kingdom: Baltic Ship Financing

Financed construction and term loan for two bulk carriers built in the Baltic States for UK based shipowner, including negotiation of terms and conditions, establishing foreign exchange rates, funding and closing transaction.

United Kingdom: Bankers’ Guide to Ship Finance

Drafted, published and distributed extensive and comprehensive guide to shipping and ship financing, for Bank of America, based on experience in the US, Asia and Europe.

United Kingdom: Film Finance

Financed three feature films using modern financial structures.

United Kingdom: Office Building for the American Bureau of Shipping

Originated, structured and funded the multicurrency financing of a London headquarters building for the ABS, the ship and aircraft classification society.

United Kingdom: Problem Loan Guide

Drafted, published and distributed an extensive and comprehensive Problem Loan Guide for Bank of America, based on extensive problem loan and salvage experience in the US, Asia and Europe.
