Central America: Central American Bank for Economic Integration
Originated, priced and structured a working capital financing for this regional bank, including preparing full documentation, sales memoranda, and arranging the placement of US$ 50 million in securities. Funded by private placement, with guarantee of the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
Costa Rica: Cellular Telephone Project
US West is one of the "Baby Bells" after the break up of American Telephone and Telegraph. Its subsidiary, New Vectors, entered into a joint venture to provide a cellular telephone network in Costa Rica. We structured and priced the project financing, which included meeting with the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation, joint venture parties and potential investors.
Costa Rica: Teak Plantation
Admiralty represents a US investment syndicate evaluating the economics of investing in a large, mature plantation forest in Costa Rica. If the project goes forward, Admiralty will be responsible for structuring, documenting and executing the financing. An Admiralty International funded project.
El Salvador: Diagnostic Review of the constraints to small business lending and microfinance
Undertook diagnostic reviews of the barriers and obstacles to small business lending and microfinance. The objectives were to improve supervision of non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and the legal framework under which NBFIs operate, to promote access to finance for microenterprises and SMEs, and to enhance financial inclusion.
Ecuador: Review of the on-lending activities of CFN
Conducted a review of the on-lending activities of the Corporación Financiera Nacional (CFN) which is a major second-tier bank in Ecuador.
Guatemala: Diagnostic Review of the constraints to small business lending and microfinance
Undertook diagnostic reviews of the barriers and obstacles to small business lending and microfinance. The objectives were to improve supervision of non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and the legal framework under which NBFIs operate, to promote access to finance for microenterprises and SMEs, and to enhance financial inclusion.

Admiralty represents several US investors in Mexican real estate to swap these properties for others located in the US and elsewhere. If the projects go forward, Admiralty will be responsible for structuring, documenting and executing the financings. An Admiralty International funded project.

Admiralty is currently structuring a project to produce electricity from the sun in Northern Mexico. Technologies are under review and a dialogue has been established with investors and with the Import Export Bank of the US. An Admiralty International funded project.

Technical review of the institutional arrangements in place at the Deposit Insurance Agency to monitor the health of commercial banks and establish contingency plans in case of bank failure.
